Open Day 2025
Thank you for a wonderful open day!
On Saturday, 20 September 2025, we celebrated our 100th anniversary with numerous guests, employees and their families, citizens from Karben and the surrounding area, friends of the company and many curious visitors. The response was tremendous and the atmosphere was excellent: fully booked factory and show tours, lively conversations and many beaming faces. We were particularly pleased with the great response and the palpable enthusiasm of the visitors, who provided a lot of positive feedback and concrete comments. We have been shaping working environments since 1925 – and on this day, it became clear what drives us: passion, innovation and team spirit.
Behind the scenes and in the thick of things
Our CEO Steffen Schwerd opened the event, then unveiled the Egon König facility presented by Karbens Mayor Guido Rahn – and the day began. During the fully booked factory tours and showroom tours, our guests gained exciting insights behind the scenes and experienced first-hand how attractive office furniture and modern working environments are created at König + Neurath.
Fun and variety were provided by hands-on activities for young and old – from a carousel to Eintracht goal wall shooting and a bouncy castle to a gaming station. A highlight for families was the birdhouse workshop by ImmerBunt, where birdhouses were lovingly built. Musical accompaniment for the day was provided by the Attacca youth orchestra from the Kurt Schumacher School, the Petterweil village dancers (Petterweiler Kids e.V.), the ‘Red Angels’ cheerleaders from Reichelsheim and a hula hoop show; There were also many other acts that enriched the programme.
Food trucks spoiled visitors with regional delicacies to suit every taste. In numerous discussions about ‘100 years of K+N’, our history came to life – and at the same time, a glimpse into the future became tangible.
